First Post!

Hello and welcome to Brady Sufat Concepts! Here I will share some of my concepts and my thoughts on various jersey or logo news and have a good time doing it. I enjoy sharing my opinions and this seemed like the best place to do it.

While I don't have any big news you haven't already heard, I'd like to touch on a few things to get this blog started.

I put together this mock-up of what the crest will be on Calgary's new 3rd jersey. I, for one, am a fan of this type of crest. Like Buffalo's former 3rd jersey, it gives the feeling of being a classic logo, although it clearly isn't. As for the jersey, I'm not totally sold, but we'll see if that changes when they officially release the design.

I recently completed an NHL-wide redesign using a Nike Swift template. Now, I am embarking on another, potentially long journey by creating 3rd jerseys for every team. Today, I want to share my Buffalo Sabres concept. It is purposely unconventional, and I believe it shows that the Sabres design team wasn't that far off when it comes down to their new 3rd jersey.

It takes some design elements from the actual jersey. This template is suited perfectly for modern designs and this is no exception, but I'd like to know what you think.

Lastly, with my final high school hockey season quickly approaching, I'd like to share my favorite concept I've created to date. Prior to the season, we decided we wanted to have a 3rd jersey for what was promising to be a special season, so I came up with a few designs.

The team decided on the concept shown above, which was my personal favorite. After some slight modifications by the manufacturing company, we ordered the design shown below.

After seeing this design, I could not wait to throw on the new sweater on the ice. My dream was not too far in the future. While on Christmas break, I received a text message that simply read "The jerseys are in." I promptly hopped in my car and drove to pick them up, and I could not be happier with the result. They looked way better than I could ever have imagined. Below are a few images of the concept I had brought to life in action.

I appreciate if you took the time to read this post and I hope you enjoyed it. I hope to have some more posts up relatively soon, so please check back every once in a while. If you have any suggestions or just want to say something, don't hesitate to leave a comment.
